The Lonely Star

My bed now a place of solitude,
was once a place where skin touched skin and shivers ran deep.
Where our scents merged and Alchemy was divine.
Where pleasure was gentle and sometimes excitedly edged on pain.
Lips and hips entwined in magnetic push and pull.
Where our bodies collided and the universe was created.
Where masks were removed, vulnerabilities whispered, tears fell and hearts were opened.

The finger of fate would have it's way. Our planets misaligned and we were repelled apart. No longer within orbit.

My bed no longer our universe, my heart and body aches because I still feel the pull.

My bed now a place of solitude. A star alone without her lover.
